"Vision without action is just a dream.
Action without vision merely wastes time.
Vision coupled with action can make things happen!"
It is hard for some of the people to have both vision and action, but for those who have both, they can achieve all the possible goals in their life. So it is important to have vision and action to make possible things happen!
1. The first vision I have is to get an internship in accounting field by the end of this semester. What can I do to achieve this vision? I think I should get ready with my resume and prepare to apply and get ready to have an interview and try my best to get the job. The most important thing is that I should stop my laziness, and needs to work, work and work to have a chance to get a good internship.
2. The second vision I have is to work in an accounting firm after I graduate the MS program in Baruch. I want to get a job in an accounting firm and at the same time continue to work on my MBA degree. But before all these, I wanted to pass my CPA exam first and then I will go find a job and then go to school at the same time. The action that I can do for now is to achieve my first vision and then get into the 5 year MS program and then graduate from it. Then I can prepare my CPA exam and try to ACE on those exams. Then after pass these exams then I will be able to achieve this vision.
3. The third vision that I have is to save money and buy a big house. After I am financial stable, I can bring my parents, brother, sister, and close relatives to here and let them enjoy their lives. They helped me a lot and always care about me, so I really want to give them a better environment and let them have a great time. Of course this vision will follow up after I achieve my second vision.
These three visions are following upon each other, so I really need to do it step by step. Hopefully I can achieve all these visions with the actions, then these things will happen in the future!

I'm glad to see that your vision does not omit the short term steps that are proven critical. I think we're in the same boat when it comes too the CPA. After reading your blog, the only advice i can lend you is to try and implement self-actualization goals as well. Because in the end, if your not happy, than what was it all for?
All you visions sound reasonable and I believe you could accomplish all of them. I mean getting an UNPAID internship is easy in Baruch, the pay ones you might need to work a little hard with the grades and learn some extra software tools, but yea nothing is impossible, all you need is determination. And working in account firm...again I think Baruch is set up for accountant and finance students, it shouldn't be very hard to pass your CPA exam because there are tons of help available Baruch. Of course, talk is cheap, take time, get help and Im sure you would be able pass the CPA, get a great accounting job, make lots of money and finally buy the house you want. Don't be afraid to think big, all you need is that determination. Glk

Your vision is very clear and precise. I like that you set goals for yourself and then plan on how to achieve them. Getting an MBA and passing the CPA exam are challenging tasks that require a lot of commitment but I am certain you can manage them. Also, I like that you care about your family so much and want the best for them. It is very important in today's materialistic society to remember that you have a family who needs your support.
I am glad that you want your family to have great time you become financially stable. Frankly, I am from a big family (as most Bangladeshi). I completely support myself, and I to a certain extent support my family. I am certain that you will be able to provide your family to have good time. Your plan is logical and achievable. Your steady actions will lead you to your ultimate vision.
We are much alike. As I can see you have done quite a lot of research, from the five year program, to CPA, then to ACE. You have been taking your actions!
From what you write, I know, you know what is right for you and your family.
My family also helped me a lot, they giving me lots of support, and I want to give them the equivalent amount of support when I am able to. But, I often think, rather that is what I am seeking for, up until now I know what I am doing is right for me and my family, but I am concern, rather that is good for me. Hopefully, it is good for you.
I think all of your visions are pretty realistic to accompish. These are things that most business students want to do. I'm in a similar situation where I want to get an internship. To find an internship might be a little challenging, given your descriptions. I am a little lazy as well. Some aspects about getting an internship is the need of good interviewing skills. And practice is one of the ways to get better at it.
thank you for your comment!
i think you can achieve your visions if you don't give up! Get your resume ready, and apply for all the accounting positions that you're interested in. After all the hard works and experiences, I am sure you will achieve what you want!
hey, its paul in response to your comment. Im completly agree with you that the actions importance should not be overlooked as a critical step in our vision. Remember, a vision without action is just a dream :)
