I and other friends in the class decided to go to McDonald together so we won’t feel weird to ask this special order and it should be easier and faster for the employee to take all the orders at the same time. But guess our prediction is different to the real world. When we got in there and asked the lady in the counter for five hamburgers with exactly four pickles on it and five small fries with no salt. The lady looked frustrated and mad because we are ordering some weird order in her point of perspective. But she still gives us the order, but the receipt did not come out correctly. We clearly asked to have five separate receipts in the beginning, but she gives us only one receipt with five orders, and when we ask her can we get five separate receipts, she was so mad and speaks in a loud voice saying to us that “you guys should stated clearly in the beginning”. When she said that, she went in to talk to her manager and also tell the manager about the situation, while me and my friends were thinking that we did stated clearly to have five separate receipts. The manager comes out and takes care of the situation, and tells us that he will write it out and we can call him if there is any problem with the receipts. He also explains that the reason for him not to use the cashier machine is because he needs to change the transaction before and makes a new one and it will mess up their transaction process.
When the manager was writing down our five separate receipts, the lady went to the back and prepares our orders. She told the man in the back in Spanish to prepare five hamburgers with exactly four pickles on it, and then she walked to the French fries and packed five orders of small fries. We find out that she did not do anything different to the fries and she just gave us the orders. When we open up the order, we found out that the hamburgers and fries were done correctly. Before we leave the store, she still looks so mad, frustrated, and she does not look like she wants to deal us again.
The entire process deals with 3 people and it takes about 15 minutes to finish. I think the manager and the person who made the burgers for us are okay, but the lady in the counter has bad emotion. I think she should take some emotional training class to have better control with her emotion. Because customers should always be the first place no matter what did they do or ask, so if she continues to serve her customers like this, she will receive so many customers’ complaints and get fired by the store. The manager should also take care of it and warn the lady that not suppose to give customers bad attitudes. As a result, the order is pretty good but the lady should act more nicely and respect to their customers.
