Decision!?

I chose the avoidance for the entire decision making process on Monday. The reason for me to choose this one is because I think it is hard for everyone to agree at the end and especially there were some conflicts between some classmates. Even though I know there is still chance for everyone to agree, and I think the test was fair and the idea of dropping the lowest midterm and curve the first exam was enough, so that is the reason why I do not want to participate the idea of changing the format. I believe some classmates did not so good because the format, so I think it is better for them to express their thoughts and make the format that is acceptable for everyone in the class including the professor. If this happen again, most likely I will choose accommodation to handle the decision making process and some conflicts.

Overall, I thought that the exam was fair as well. But I wanted more lol. Its our grade and if we did not try to get some benefits from the opportunity he was giving us, those who hate it would have to suffer for the rest of the semester. But in the end, we still did it =D GOOD JOB haha.

Yea the exam was fair. I walked out of the class feeling pretty confident. The format of the test was easy. But when I saw my grade i was quited disappointed. I wanted to drop the class. At the end I was happy with the changes.

I agree. At one point, I was hoping the process would end because I felt we got enough done. I really didn't think Prof. K would allow us so much lee-way. In the end, it comes down to what is best for all. Even though a few became selfish, I think everyone, those who did bad and well, are happy.

So you are the third person whose blog I'm commenting on who used the avoidance method! And personally I don't think you should be obligated to use this method, just to avoid conflict. Its very important to speak up and say what YOU want and how the test should look like according to YOU. Who cares if no one agrees, then you can at least have the satisfaction of giving your opinion. And there could be more people who would maybe agree on your proposition, and then that could even turn into the entire classroom! How did we get to the conlusion and rules of the second test? Someone gave an idea and others just went along with it. So remember to speak up!You never know!
